Mrs India 2017 Speech on Depression

During her speech, Mrs India 2017  tried to establish a connect with the students. Mamta Trivedi wanted them to think of me as someone who understands their feelings. Mrs India 2017 said that When “I speak to many adults, one thing they say is that the best part of their life was their childhood. They wish they could become a child again.”

We generally feel that children have no worries. However, Queen does not agree with them. In Mrs India‘s opinion, children have their own problems. The adults may feel that the problems of the child are nothing compared to the problems they are facing. However, for the children, their problems are very big. Sadly, children feel that the adults do not understand their problems. As a result, children do not share their problems with their elders, particularly their parents.

Although depression is considered as something that affects only adults, there are many cases of children suffering from depression. I brought to their attention the fact that the person suffering from depression is not aware of and refuses to admit that he/she is suffering from the depression.

I also advised the children to stay fit by indulging in physical activities and eat healthy, avoiding junk food at all times. Lastly, I encouraged them to focus on their goals and understand that there is no short-cut to success. Each one of us is unique and talented. We need to identify what we are good at and express ourselves, which will make us happy.
